Steps to Migrate from Saitama V1 to V2 and Add Your Tokens to Coinbase

Saitama V2 is the second version of the original Saitama project. The V2 contract was announced in May 2022, and migration is still ongoing for all existing V1 holders.

Migrating to Saitama V2 is automatic for every V1 holder. As part of the migration process, the token’s team will take a snapshot of every old Saitama token holder and airdrop an equal value of the new Saitama V2.

Therefore, V1 holders do not have to do or pay anything for migration.

Meanwhile, only old Saitama holders can collect the V2 airdrop as part of the migration to the new contract.

Also, the Saitama v2 tokens will have the same value as the V1 when the project finally migrates.

If you are a Saitama V1 holder and you can’t find the new Saitama V2 tokens in your wallet, kindly follow the steps below to add the token to your Coinbase wallet.

  1. Set up Coinbase wallet
  2. Copy the new Saitama V2 contract address
  3. Import Saitama V2 token in your wallet

1. Set up Coinbase wallet

If you’re an old Saitama holder and you want to add the new Saitama V2 tokens to your Coinbase wallet, you need to set up your wallets first.

You can skip this step if you have an active Coinbase wallet.

To restore the wallet holding your Saitama V1 tokens, visit your app store and install the wallet. Open the wallet and tap ‘I already have a wallet,’ then restore your wallet with the 12-word recovery phrase.

Finally, choose a username and set up biometrics.

2. Copy the new Saitama V2 contract address

After gaining access to your wallet, you need Saitama V2’s contract address to add the token to your wallet.

To copy the contract, go to the Saitama V2 Migration website at https://www.saitamatoken.com/.

Under Saitama V2 New Contract, tap COPY CONTRACT to copy the new V2 contract address.

To see the full details of the new contract, go to Etherscan.io to scan the contract address.
